It is assumed that Bakhtiyaar Irani is referring to Anand Tiwari’s performance as Firdaus Engineer in the film.

Bakhtiyaar Irani recently revealed a stunning fact in an interview. He stated that he was originally scheduled to appear in Sara Ali Khan‘s historical biopic, Ae Watan Mere Watan, but was replaced at the last minute by a greater star.

Bakhtiyaar Irani revealed that while participating in Inside The Mind With Rushabh, he was asked for a role in the film, which is produced by Karan Johar‘s Dharmatic Entertainment. He was thrilled with the opportunity and had already began preparing for the role. He’d even shed eight kilogrammes for the job. Bakhtiyaar Irani said that he was urged to drop weight for the job because he was too big, so he followed a strict diet and exercise routine and lost weight.

Bakhtiyaar Irani told, “The director calls me. I had no idea; I assumed I was meeting Kanan (Iyer), the director. When I met him, he told me that I was really well made, but in the 1940s, people were small. So I lost eight kilogrammes in one and a half months and returned to him.”
“The director said ‘Very nice, next week deal signing’. Everything was done. I told my wife, family, and close circle of friends about it, then I told around 30 people the next day when I was to signed it. I pondered what could go wrong, so I informed them. But then it did not happen. This is the character Sara Ali Khan turned to for assistance,” he explained.

Bakhtiyaar Irani appears to be referring to the role of Firdaus Engineer, which was played by Anand Tiwari in the film. Anand has just directed the next Dharma film Bad Newz, which stars Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk.
