“Alia took the lives of two people by starting a fire that went wrong, trapping a man and woman in flames. The victims tragically died from smoke inhalation and thermal injuries,” District Attorney Melinda Katz said in a statement.

Nargis Fakhri has not yet commented on the matter, but her mother has certainly defended Aaliya. She expressed disbelief over the allegations, saying, “I don’t think she could kill anyone. She is a caring person. She has tried to help everyone.”

According to The Post, Edward, Jacobs’ mother revealed that Jacobs and Aaliya had ended their relationship a year before the tragic incident. Despite the breakup, Aaliya reportedly continued to pursue him. The report also clarified that Jacobs and Etienne (current girlfriend) were not in a romantic relationship but were just friends.
