Allu Arjun’s barely trimmed beard has caused concern among fans who have been waiting for the sequel to his successful flick Pushpa since 2021.

Allu Arjun used to dress differently for his films every year, sometimes even twice a year, garnering him the nickname “Stylish Star.” However, since he began filming Sukumar‘s Pushpa, every out-of-place hair has caused a meltdown among his fans, who have been yearning to see him on screen again since 2021.

Fans, who are normally overjoyed to catch a peek of their favourite actors on vacation, were concerned when a recent video of Allu Arjun surfaced online. The actor was reportedly on his way from Hyderabad to Doha when an aircraft passenger captured footage of him with a slightly trimmed beard.

Fans were concerned that Pushpa 2: The Rule will miss its December deadline because Allu Arjun has not changed his hair or beard since 2020, and the film had already been postponed once.

When Allu Arjun‘s team was asked about the video, a representative close to the actor stated that there was no cause for alarm. “Yes, this video was taken recently, but there’s no need to worry. He still has long hair and a beard, but he’s groomed better. People forget that in Pushpa 2: The Rule, his character Pushpa Raj would progress from a daily wage worker and smuggler to a don. He still cannot appear as unkempt and scraggly as he did in Pushpa: The Rise. There are no intentions to postpone the picture beyond December 6.”

Pushpa 2: The Rule was scheduled to be released on August 15, however it was postponed due to ongoing filming. Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil also appear in the movie.

Viduthalai Part 2 First Look: The highly anticipated first look at the sequel to Vetrimaaran’s 2023 hit Viduthalai Part 1 is now available. The sequel, which stars Vijay Sethupathi and Manju Warrier, will focus more on Vijay Sethupathi‘s character Perumal’s narrative.

Vijay posted two posters from Viduthalai Part 2 on X, stating, “A new chapter begins with #ViduthalaiPart2. directed by the visionary #VetriMaaran! The first look is out for #ValourAndLove, a @ilaiyaraaja musical.”

The first ad depicts a bloodied Vijay Sethupathi crying in the middle of the fields, holding a machete in his hand. The second ad is softer, with him pushing a bike through the fields while Manju Warrier stands behind him.

Vetrimaaran’s Viduthalai Part 1 was a huge success. The film focuses on Soori’s character, Constable Kumaresan, who is tasked with apprehending Vijay’s character, Perumal Vaathiyaar, the leader of Makkal Padai, an extreme organisation.

The first half concludes with Perumal informing Kumaresan the truth about the attack and urging him and the police to investigate further. The first glimpse at the sequel suggests that the film would delve into his story.

Viduthalai Part 2, popularly known in Telugu as Vidudala Part 2, would reunite Vijay Sethupathi with his Maharaja co-star Anurag Kashyap. Ilaiyaraaja is composing the film’s music. The film’s shooting is nearing complete, and it is scheduled to be released in theatres before the end of the year.

Kamal Haasan‘s Indian 2 released in theatres last Friday to mostly unfavourable reviews. The sequel to S Shankar’s 1996 vigilante thriller debuted 18 years later, but it failed to match fans’ expectations, with many complaining that it was too long and lacked depth. Lyca Productions has now chopped out 12 minutes of the film in a shortened version, which will be exhibited in theatres.

Lyca Productions resorted to their official X account on Wednesday to reveal a new poster for the film, which announced the shortened version. The text on the poster said, “We heard you! Indian 2 has been cut by 12 minutes! Now see the reduced version of the film in a theatre near you!”
