Ayushmann Khurrana: said- because of him I wanted to form a band
Ayushman Khurana has recently completed his music tour in five cities of America. He sang great songs in front of his fans in Chicago, New York, San Jose, New Jersey and Dallas. He has sung songs in his films before, but singing live is a different experience. He got the courage for this work and the inspiration to form his own music band from singer Arijit Singh. Ayushman recently told about this.
Arijit asked me to sing live
Ayushmann says, ‘I always thought that I am doing well as an actor. I can sing in films, but I never thought of singing on stage in front of thousands of people. All the credit for my first live singing performance goes to singer Arijit Singh. After the success of the film ‘Vicky Donor’ and winning the Filmfare for Best Singer, Arijit Singh called me in 2013.
He was supposed to perform at the Diwali fair in Dallas, but due to some reason he could not go, his band had reached Dallas. Then he requested me to perform there. I told him that I always sing for myself or for my friends at a party. He requested me again. I have been a fan of Arijit, so finally I agreed to his request.
Experience of singing live
Ayushmann Khurrana also tells about his experience of singing live. He says, ‘I went for the concert and the stadium was filled with about fifty thousand people. This was a big deal for me. I sang about 10 songs with Arijit‘s band. People gave me a very good response. After this I made up my mind to sing live. I thought I should make my own band and do live singing. All this would not have been possible if Arijit had not motivated me to sing.
