The series follows the story of two teenagers. A blind French girl named Marie Laure and a German soldier named Werner. They met in France during World War II.
Marie-Laure lives in Paris. She lives with her father, who works in the Meseun of Natural History. When Marie was twelve years old, the Nazis occupied Paris. They flee to the walled citadel of Saint Malo. Marie’s great-uncle lives there in a tall house by the sea. Marie and her father carried the museum’s most valuable jewels with them. She starts to broadcast an illegal radio show to revolt against the Nazis.
Werner Pfenning is an orphan. He grows up with his younger sister. He lives in a mining town in Germany. He had to join the Army against his will. He knew the technique to trace the radio frequency, so he was forced to join the Army. Warner has a habit of listening to the radio. He has listened to the Illigal broadcasts by Marie. He gets fascinated by her voice. He tends to listen to every broadcast. Marie’s voice is his escape from the torture he faces in the Army camp. He develops a feeling for the voice.
One of the Nazis knows that Marie is the daughter of Daniel LeBlanc. And they have precious gems from the museum. He forces Warner to trace her location. What will Warner do? How will Warren save Marie from the greedy Nazis?
Aria Mia Loberti is playing the character of Marie-Laure LeBlanc. She is a blind French teenage girl and the daughter of Daniel LeBlanc. Aria Mia Loberti won this role after a global search of thousands of actresses.
Louis Hofmann is playing the role of Werner Pfennig. He is playing the character of a young German boy who eventually becomes a soldier specialising in detecting and tracking radio frequencies. Louis Hofmann has won the Bodil Award for Best Supporting Actor for the movie Land of Mine. He is also known for playing the character of Jonas in the Netflix original series Dark.
Mark Ruffalo is playing the role of Daniel LeBlanc. He is playing the father of Marie-Laure and a locksmith at the Museum of Natural History in Paris. Mark Ruffalo is known for his roles in movies such as 13 Going on 30, Just Like Heaven, In the Cut, Zodiac, and Shutter Island. He won a Tony Award for supporting role on Broadway. Ruffalo gained international recognition for playing Bruce Banner/Hulk in the superhero franchise of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
