WWE Women Championship : Could WWE’s main roster introduce mid-card championships for its female wrestlers?
Highlights
WWE Women Championship : Mid-Card Gold For Women
While WWE has long featured the Intercontinental and United States Championships for male wrestlers, there has been a noticeable absence of mid-card gold for women in the company’s history. Recently, on his Six Feet Under podcast, WWE Hall of Famer expressed (The Undertaker) his support for the idea of introducing mid-card championships for the female roster.

The Undertaker Said For Women’s Mid-Card Championship
“The women’s division is deep,” he said. “I would like to see a Women’s Intercontinental Champion, and possibly, because there are two brands, a Women’s US Champion.”
Who Else Advocating For Women’s Mid-Card Championship
The Undertaker is not alone in advocating for a women’s mid-card championship. In 2022, Dana Brooke also voiced her support for the idea. During her time with the 24/7 Championship, she hoped to see it transition into a women’s Intercontinental Championship. Although Brooke believed such a change would provide additional motivation for female wrestlers who are not in the main title picture, the idea never materialized.

WWE Introduce Its First Women’s Mid-Card Title
WWE is set to introduce its first women’s mid-card title later this year with the NXT North American Women’s Championship. The announcement was made during NXT Stand & Deliver in April 2024 by NXT General Manager Ava. However, there is currently no information available on how or when the inaugural champion will be determined.
