Video goes viral
When the relations between two countries deteriorate, it affects not only the politicians but also the people living there. Now look at India and Canada where the relations between the two countries are deteriorating day by day. No one knows when these relations will improve. The Indians living there, who had gone there to earn their livelihood, are facing the most impact of this deteriorating relationship. In such a situation, a video is becoming increasingly viral on social media. Where a woman is seen misbehaving with an Indian-Canadian.
The name of the person seen in the video is Ashwin Annamalai and he posted a video and wrote that while walking in Waterloo, Ontario, I met an elderly woman who started making racist comments on me. Annamalai wrote in his post that I have been living here for the last 6 years and now I have also taken citizenship here, but despite this this woman is abusing me.
During this conversation, I told her that I am Canadian but despite this she was not listening to me and started abusing me. Although, it is not clear when the video is from, but at present this video is becoming increasingly viral on social media.
In the video you can see that when Annamalai tells the woman that I am also a Canadian citizen like you, but the woman is not ready to listen to him at all. While saying his point, Annamalai explained to the woman that she should not say racist things in this way. After which the woman also questions Annamalai’s skin color and says that you are an Indian and you have spoiled the atmosphere of our country.
‘Your parents and grandparents are not from here’
Now you should leave from here and just speaking English does not make one Canadian. Apart from this, the woman says that you are not Canadian, you are Indian, and I want you to go back from our country. Your parents and grandparents are not from here.
In response to this, Annamalai asked the woman if she knows French which is another official language of Canada and then he also spoke to the woman in that language. However, she ignored this question and kept speaking in English, ‘Go back. Go back to India
