Bollywood’s strong actress Vidya Balan has given such a statement in the interview that forces one to think a lot. She said that after the Covid-19 epidemic, the film industries have been affected in such a bad way. She openly discussed this and said that after menstruation, even the studio producers are not showing so much trust in the female lead. Vidya Balan has won the hearts of the audience with her strong acting in films like Kahaani, Sherni Tumhari Sallu, but after Covid, the film industry has started avoiding taking more risks. Now they feel that male-dominated films are more safe because the track record is old and strong. She said that the studio producer feels safe trusting male leads more and spending more money on them.
Female leads were not given as much chance as was given earlier because after Covid, the industry suffered a huge financial loss, now the producers do not want to take that.
Now the producers feel that those who have the highest fan following, especially male superstars, will have more profit. Vidya Balan is quite worried about this fact that now the industry is pushing back women-centric stories and this is a matter of concern. These things have had a great impact on the society. They not only strengthen but also show the mirror to the society that if a female lead is made in a film then the identity and respect of women in the society gets strengthened but if such films are made less then the story and voice of women will be suppressed.
