Bollywood actress Rekha’s superhit film Umrao Jaan and its famous director Muzaffar Ali have recently made a big statement about Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He has given his opinion about Sanjay Leela’s web series Heeramandi and said that Heeramandi has been shown to be very grand and showy. There is a great lack of simplicity in this web series and it has been shown to be full of palaces and wealth more than necessary.
Muzaffar Ali believes that in such a story, emotions and culture should be given more importance, in this only the glitter of the sets and clothes has been shown more. He said that I had tried to show Lucknow’s culture, poetry and simplicity very well in the film Umrao Jaan, whereas in Hiramandi everything looked bigger and filmy.
Later he said that every director has his own style but he feels that he has not been able to show the real culture and atmosphere properly in Hiramandi.
It is clear from Muzaffar Ali’s words that he gives more importance to reality and emotions than grandeur.
