The finest top movies of the past ten decades starting from 1920 to 2010 have been recently released by the Time Magazine and shockingly India has got only one position in the esteemed list. Does anybody have any idea which film it could be?
The movie directed by Satyajit Ray “Pather Panchali” has secured its place on the Time magazine’s list of 100 best movies. This movie was produced by the government of best bengal.After its release in 1956, The Times of India wrote that “It is absurd to compare it with any other Indian cinema… Pather Panchali is pure cinema.”
Even Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru was very impressed with this movie and it was also sent to the Cannes film festival and “Pather Panchali” even got 98% rotten tomatoes which is very rare for an Indian movie.
