This drama series is inspired by a novel named The Live You Give Me by author Shi Dingrou. It tells the story of Min Hui and Xin Qi. The series shows past and present scenarios of their love story.
In the past, five years ago, Min Ji fell in one-sided love with Xin Qi. He is suffering from a life threatening heart disease. Mistakenly, Xin Qi thinks that Min Hui, his long-lost childhood friend, is dead by now. Min Ji doesn’t have the courage to tell him the truth because of his health conditions. She is afraid that this shocking news can lead to a dangerous condition in his life. So she pretends to be Xin Qi’s long-list childhood friend. They both fall hard for each other by spending more time together. But fate plays a vicious role, and Xin Qi gets to know the real truth. He felt betrayed and cut off all the ties with Min Ji.
At present, Min Ji has become the research and development assistant of the director of a tech firm, and Xin Qi is the CEO of an investment firm. They meet again during a business event. This creates an uncomfortable relationship between them. As a result, Xin Qi took all of his anger and betrayal out on Min Hui. Xin Qi later learns from the sources that Min Hui has a son who is suffering from the same heart condition as him. He realises that he is the father of her child. But now it is too late for him to rekindle with his newly found family as he has already caused serious damage. He decides to correct his mistake and to save the life of his son.
Actors Wang Yuwen and Wang Ziqi are playing key roles, with various other actors playing supporting roles in the series.
The series is directed by Ding Yingzhou. And the story of the series is written by Guo Shuang. The series is produced by Tencent Pictures Production Company.
