The Great Indian Kapil Show 2 : Kapil Sharma is all set to return with season 2 of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’. Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Rajiv Thakur and Archana Puran Singh are busy promoting the show ahead of its premiere on September 21. Recently, Archana Puran Singh said that other actors of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ earn twice as much as her. The actress says that she gets paid just to laugh.
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Archana discussed her role as a permanent guest on the show. Kiku was asked if she minds putting in so much hard work. Dressing up, doing make-up, preparing dialogues and performing on stage, while Archana gets paid to just sit and laugh. Archana was quick to explain, “Paise ye log double le jaate hai.
Toh sahi hai na mehnat karo mehnat hai bhai. I get paid for laughing and they get paid for their hard work. Some get paid for their beauty, others for their talent, but I get paid just for laughing.”
Sunil Grover praised Archana and said, “Archana ji’s personality is quite different.” Regarding her laughter, Archana gave the example of actresses like Deepika Padukone and Kajol and said, “Many women laugh loudly. My laughter is different from everyone else because I get a lot of opportunities to laugh in the show.” However, Archana revealed some funny moments when people come up to her in real life and ask her to laugh loudly.
