The Equalizer: Two new characters will rock the series
CBS’s popular series The Equalizer is currently heading towards a spinoff. Queen Latifah plays the lead role in this series. Her character’s name is Robin McCall. She is a former CIA member and uses her skills to help those who have no support. According to sources, two new characters will be introduced in the 516th episode of this series, who may later become the basis of their own series

According to media reports, casting is currently underway for two new characters. The first character is a young woman who is a martial artist, a weapons expert and an expert in solving criminal cases. She contacts McCall for help and the second is an older male character who will be a former CIA member. Both these characters will be guest roles in the current series, but if the spinoff project moves forward, there is also a possibility of these characters becoming regular series.
Spinoff will be different
If the spinoff goes ahead, the two-character show will be different from the 1985 Equalizer series, the current CBS reboot, as well as the movies based on it. Currently, CBS is taking a more informal approach to its spinoff plans, introducing potential spinoff characters in regular episodes of the main show.
The series has been ranked among the top 10 entertainment programs since its launch after the Super Bowl in 2021. The series airs on Sundays at 9 pm and after February 16, it will shift to 10 pm.
