Actor Ayushmann Khurrana‘s wife and producer Tahira Kashyap broke down on Thursday after her directorial debut Sharmaji Ki Beti received seven nominations at an awards show recently. She shared a heartwarming note on her official Instagram account about the hard work that went behind making the film.
The producer shared a picture of herself shedding tears of joy and wrote, ‘A few hours ago when I was about to go to the gym, I got to know that ‘Sharmaji Ki Beti’, my first feature film, is nominated in several categories. After the rain I think the gym is the best place to hide your tears. But now I will not hide them, because these are tears of gratitude. I think it is okay to be vulnerable!’

The producer further added, ‘I am sharing this part of my life because I think whoever is following me here has seen me trying to make this film all these years. I wrote it in the year 2017 and have been trying to make this film since then. I think the universe has its own way of compensating! One nomination for each year I tried to make this film and so we have 7 nominations!’ ‘Also sharing is that never give up on your dreams! Cherish them, as they become your lifeline!’
