Swara Bhasker said- the same thing happened to me too
The allegations of sexual abuse coming out from Malayalam film industry have shocked everyone. The revelations of misbehavior, rape and sexual abuse of actresses are coming out one by one. FIR has been lodged against some. Meanwhile, Swara Bhasker has spoken on the MeToo movement.
Swara wrote, ‘I finally got a chance to read the Hema Committee report. First of all, I would like to thank the Women in Cinema Collective, who raise their voice against violence against women. Those women are heroes and you are trying to match the work that people in high positions have already done.’
The actress further wrote, ‘I am heartbroken after reading the report of this committee. My heart is also broken because I am familiar with this situation. I have seen all this closely. There may be some nuances, details are different, but I am well aware of all these incidents.’
