Sonu Nigam: said- If you have to go then don’t come…
Singer Sonu Nigam is disappointed with some of the politicians in the country after the incident at his concert in Jaipur. Sharing a reel on Instagram, Sonu Nigam revealed that he recently did a ‘Rising Rajasthan’ show which was attended by several high-ranking dignitaries including Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and the state’s Sports and Youth Affairs Minister. However, the singer was upset when some of them left his show midway and was followed by several other delegates.
Calling it an insult to ‘Goddess Saraswati’ and ‘art form’, Sonu Nigam gave examples of places like the US where a President does not leave a programme mid-way or does so after informing the artist or the management involved. Sonu Nigam termed his message as a humble request and asked such politicians to not go if they cannot attend the shows of singers and artistes or inform them in advance if they have to leave the show mid-way.
Sonu Nigam shared the post
Sharing the video on his official Instagram account, he wrote, ‘A humble request to all the respected politicians of India, please do not attend any artist’s performance if you have to suddenly leave midway. This is a disrespect to art, artists and Maa Saraswati.
