Shah Rukh Khan blockbuster hit movie wins Best Director Award, Director Atlee gets emotional
On Sunday, the Zed Cine Awards 2024 winners were revealed. Jawan, the 2023 smash hit starring Shah Rukh Khan, won the Best Director prize for South director Atlee Kumar. In addition to King Khan, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi also gave outstanding performances in important parts.
A touching moment occurred at the event when Atlee caressed King Khan’s feet in recognition of the esteemed award. Atlee’s respectful gesture won out against Shah Rukh’s attempt to step in, and the Bollywood icon gave Atlee a heartfelt embrace and a kiss. The Atlee-directed film Jawan, which debuted in theatres on September 7, amassed an astounding Rs. 643.87 crores in India and an astounding Rs. 1148.32 crores worldwide. Along with a strong ensemble cast that included Priya Mani, Sanya Malhotra, Sanjay Dutt, and Rishi Dogra, Deepika Padukone made notable appearances that helped the movie succeed.
