The film Sarfira is a Hindi remake of the critically acclaimed South Indian film “Soorarai Pottru”
The much-anticipated Akshay Kumar-starrer “Sarfira,” directed by Sudha Kongara, is struggling at the box office. After a disappointing start, the film’s collection has seen minimal improvement, leading to concerns about its financial performance.

Day-wise Box Office Collection:
- Day 1 (Friday): ₹2.5 crore
- Day 2 (Saturday): ₹4.25 crore
- Day 3 (Sunday): ₹5.25 crore
- Day 4 (Monday): ₹1.5 crore

Total Collection So Far: ₹13 crore
The film, a Hindi remake of the critically acclaimed South Indian film “Soorarai Pottru,” had high expectations but has been unable to live up to them. Despite featuring a star-studded cast including Radhika Madan, Paresh Rawal, Seema Biswas, and Suriya, the movie’s box office performance has been lackluster.
Performance Analysis:
“Sarfira” opened to a dismal ₹2.5 crore on its first day, marking Akshay Kumar‘s lowest opening day collection in the past 15 years. The film’s weekend saw slight growth, reaching ₹12 crore by the end of Sunday. However, it nosedived on Monday, adding only ₹1.5 crore to its total, which is a sharp decline from the previous days.
Overseas Collection:
The film also performed poorly overseas, collecting around ₹3 crore in its opening weekend. This performance is significantly below expectations, especially when compared to Kumar‘s previous releases like “Selfiee” and “Mission Raniganj”.
