One of the accused arrested in the firing case at the Bandra house of Bollywood actor Salman Khan has tried to commit suicide in the lockup itself, and has been admitted for treatment.

Accused Anuj Thapan was arrested by the police for supplying weapons to the accused who carried out the firing. Last month, firing was done outside Salman Khan‘s Bandra house. In this case, a week ago, the police took action and arrested two accused from Punjab.

This includes 37-year-old Sonu Subhash Chandra and 32-year-old Anuj Thapan. Anuj and subhash was in contact with Bishnoi gang and works as a truck helper. In this case, Mumbai Crime Branch had recovered a pistol and some live cartridges from Tapi river in Surat.

The branch claims that these were the same weapons which were used for the firing at Salman Khan‘s house on April 14, and the police believe that these weapons were supplied by Anuj and Subhash. Taking action in this case, Mumbai Police had imposed MCOCA Act on all the arrested accused. In this case, two shooters of Bishnoi gang, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, are already in the custody of the police, who were arrested from Gujarat. Meanwhile, Anuj Thapa tried to commit suicide in the lockup on Wednesday morning. But as soon as the police got wind of this, he was immediately admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
