People still remember the character of 90s Bollywood actress Rekha in the film Umrao Jaan. It is considered to be one of the most iconic performances of Indian cinema.
This blockbuster film is being re-released in theatres and the audience is very excited about it.
But producer-director Muzaffar Ali has given a very emotional response on the re-release of this film Umrao Jaan and said that ‘Umrao Jaan’ was such a film which I made with all my heart and with a lot of love and depth. Every frame, every song and every dialogue of the film came from the heart. If someone asks me to make such a film again, I will refuse because it is impossible to create this magic again.
Praising Rekha, Muzaffar Ali said that the emotions and depth that Rekha brought to the character of the film will be very difficult to repeat in today’s era. The music, poetry and cinematography of the film are still very much liked by the audience.
The re-release of the film ‘Umrao Jaan’ will take today’s youth to that era which will show that cinema is an art and not just entertainment
