Sonu Nigam sang for nearly three hours at various locations
On Sonu Nigam‘s birthday, let’s revisit a memorable moment from 2016 when he disguised himself as a street musician. As part of a social experiment by the YouTube channel Being Indian, Sonu Nigam dressed as an old man in shabby clothes and performed on the streets of Mumbai.
He sang for nearly three hours at various locations, including Juhu and Four Bungalows, performing around 25 songs in total. His disguise was so effective that he went unrecognized by passersby who were drawn to his voice, unaware of his true identity.
Sonu Nigam later shared that the experiment was both challenging and enlightening. He expressed his surprise at not being recognized and spoke about the learning experience it provided, demonstrating the power of music to connect with people irrespective of appearances. This act was also part of the promotion for his upcoming single “Crazy Dil“.
