Donald Gordon (Reginald Denny) marries a woman and falls out of favor with his wealthy father. Colonel Moncrief Gordon (Emmett King) is the Kentucky horse breeder who disowns Donald when he chooses a bride who is not of the same social standing. Donald is shanghaied by Captain Wolff (Wilfred Lucas) and spends three years at sea. He wins his freedom by saving the captain’s life. Wolff makes a deathbed confession of his involvement in the abduction. Unannounced, Donald returns to Kentucky and takes the place of a crooked jockey in the big race at Churchill Downs. By winning the race, he saves the Colonel’s fortune. Donald is reunited with his wife and the Colonel accepts the happy couple back into the family in this equestrian drama.
