The Enemy Sex

Betty Compson turns the charm on and off like a faucet in The Enemy Sex. As Broadway chorus girl “Dodo” Baxter, Compson is constantly courted by wealthy sugar daddies. She willingly takes their gifts and drinks their champagne, but usually draws the line at you-know-what. Five of her decrepit beaus offer to keep her in the manner to which she is accustomed for the rest of her life. But Baxter gallantly turns them all down, preferring to take care of recovering alcoholic Lundaberry (Percy Marmont). The Enemy Sex was based on a novel by Owen Johnson.
