Seven Days’ Leave

During World War I, a wounded Canadian soldier (Gary Cooper) spends his London leave with a scrub woman (Beryl Mercer)., In this mushy melodrama, a kindly Canadian WWI soldier grudgingly allows himself to be adopted by a sad spinster. Time passes and they begin to care for each other; he finally begins calling her “mother.”
