On Thanksgiving Eve, 1971, a man calling himself Dan Cooper boarded a Northwest Orient Airlines flight in Portland, OR bound for Seattle. As the plane took flight he handed the flight attendant a note saying, “Miss, I have a bomb, come sit by me.”
