This threadbare direct-to-video offering details the plight of a bereaved widow and her daughter who are plunged into the world of the occult after purchasing a strange crystalline artifact with the power to unlock a portal to hell itself. The portal unleashes a sinister agent of Satan, who uses the crystal’s power to offer mortals anything they desire in exchange for their souls — an offer upon which he collects a bit sooner than the gullible victims imagine. The poorly-staged demon effects, cheap gore, and bouts of softcore sex are too amateurish to sustain fans of horror/exploitation quickies, who have seen this kind of thing done better a hundred times before. Amazingly, this was followed by a sequel in 1994., An objet d’art serves as the entryway for a demon. Katherine Bacall, John Marlo, John Serrdakue, Tony C. Burton. Directed by Laura Keats.
