Director and co-writer Qasim Basir’s third film unfolds in downtown Los Angeles, on the night of Trump’s 2016 election. As political change hovers over the horizon, a handsome club promoter (Omari Hardwick) and a beautiful Midwestern lawyer (Meagan Good) explore their sexual attraction to each other and their respective hopes for the future., Sparks fly between two strangers throughout the night of the 2016 Presidential election. A racial harassment incident brings them closer together, allowing each of them to rediscover their artistic dreams (filmmaking for him, being a DJ for her).
