Bollywood’s most famous filmmaker Karan Johar has said a big thing about the Bollywood industry. Bollywood is moving ahead with a weak mentality today. It is becoming just a ‘herd mentality’. It means that the film which becomes a hit, it gets into the crowd of making such a film. When a film becomes a hit, all the makers start copying the same formula. At this time everyone wants to make horror comedy because some films have been successful in this genre.
Karan Johar further said that due to today’s thinking, newness is ending in the industry. There is no role of people’s original ideas and experiments. Earlier people used to like to take risks with their creativity but now it has reduced. Everyone is running after box office success. This is the reason that people are being shown such content to the audience, which has started getting bored.
Karan has finally said that nowadays the audience also has OTT platforms, due to which they have their options. They choose to do something and hence they are not able to connect with such content which has become difficult. He warned that if Bollywood wants to shine again, then it will have to focus on its creativity and unique ideas and not become a part of the crowd.
