Kanguva : Surya’s film on the way to being a huge flop
Suriya and Bobby Deol‘s film Kanguva, which was made on a big budget with an ambitious story based on reincarnation, is not performing as expected at the box office. The budget of the film is said to be around Rs 350 crore, making it a mega production. However, despite the large scale release, the film’s collection is disappointingly low. After a slow first week, the film’s second week also did not see any major improvement, and this indicates that the film may not be able to recover its cost.
Disappointing first week
Kanguva collected Rs 64.3 crore in its first week. This figure is extremely disappointing considering the huge budget of the film. When a film is made with a budget of Rs 350 crore, it is expected to have high box office collections, but the film had a slow start and failed to live up to expectations.
Even worse performance in the second week
The film’s performance has become even weaker in the second week. According to initial figures, the film collected only Rs 68 lakh on the 10th day. This clearly shows that the interest and enthusiasm of the audience for the film has decreased, due to which its collection is continuously falling.
The total earnings of the film so far have been Rs 65.68 crores, which is extremely low considering its huge budget.
