John Abraham revealing that studio heads often ignore him
John Abraham has been a well-known actor in Bollywood for more than 20 years, but he still feels that producers don’t fully trust him or his approach to filmmaking. In a recent conversation, John talked about his ongoing challenge of getting support from production studios, saying that they often ignore his messages.

In a conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia, John Abraham shared, “I produced ‘Vicky Donor’ and did films like ‘Madras Cafe’ and ‘Batla House’—but even now, I have to persuade studio heads to support my films. They still don’t fully trust me and often say the budget is too high.”
John Abraham also discussed his fees, saying he doesn’t charge more than what he deserves. He mentioned, “As an actor, my fee doesn’t burden the film. I believe if the film earns money, then I will too. I don’t want to put extra pressure on the budget. I make films within my means and standards, and I’m very proud of the content I create,” he explained.

John Abraham shared more about his struggles, revealing that studio heads often ignore him, partly because he doesn’t use WhatsApp. He said, “I don’t have WhatsApp, so when I send an SMS, people don’t respond. Sometimes, I don’t hear back for a long time.
For example, I texted a studio head, and he said he would get back to me, but it’s been 4.5 months, and there’s still no reply. I don’t feel bad, but I think I deserve at least one response. I believe that if people had a bit more faith in me, I’d like to try and make some changes in Indian cinema. I’m not claiming to be a game changer, but I want to try.”
John Abraham is currently preparing for the release of his new film ‘Vedaa‘, in which he stars alongside Sharvari. Directed by Nikkhil Advani, the movie addresses the issue of caste discrimination and is scheduled to be released in theaters on August 15.
