Isha Koppikar started acting in Hindi films in the year 2000. In a short time, she managed to create a different identity for herself in Bollywood. While on one hand she did good roles in many films and enjoyed acting a lot, Isha also came across a dark side of Bollywood. In fact, she had to face the casting couch in the early stages of her career. Isha Koppikar spoke openly about this in an interview.
Got advice to be friendly
Esha says, ‘I must have been just 18 years old at that time. I was contacted by the secretary of a famous hero at that time. He said that if you want to get work then you have to be a little friendly with the actor. I was a friendly girl but here friendly had a different meaning. Similarly, once an actor also called me to meet him alone. Esha also told that that actor was quite famous.
Now working in South-Marathi films
If we talk about Isha’s career, she has reduced working in Bollywood. In the year 2022, she did a film ‘Love You Loktantra’. Since then, she has not appeared in any Bollywood project. It is not that she has stopped acting completely. She is now seen doing strong characters in South and Marathi films. She is also very happy with her work. She also wishes to do good characters in future.
