Alia Bhatt’s Action Thriller Film ‘Jigra’ is Inspired by Film Gumrah
Everyone is eagerly waiting for the release of Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina’s film ‘Jigra’. In this film made under the banner of Dharma Productions, the ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ actress will be seen doing powerful action for the first time.
Many posters of Alia Bhatt and Vedang have been released so far from this film, directed by Jigra director Vasan Bala. Even the teaser trailer of the movie was released yesterday itself, which showed that Alia Bhatt has gone to any extent to protect her brother.

Alia‘s action in Jigra may be new, but the story of the film is quite old. According to reports, this movie is inspired by Sanjay Dutt and Sridevi’s film ‘Gumrah’ released 31 years ago.
Bollywood Hungama has claimed in one of its news that the story of Jigra is an adaptation of the film ‘Gumrah’ released in 1993, in which Sanjay Dutt, Sridevi and Rahul Roy played the lead roles. The story of the film was about a man who can go to any extent to save his lover, who is imprisoned in a foreign jail.
Although Alia Bhatt‘s action thriller film is not a complete adaptation of Gumrah, some major changes have been made in the movie. Like in Gumrah, the lead actor fights for his lover, but in ‘Jigra’, Alia Bhatt will be seen saving her brother. The story of the film is based on brother-sister relationship.

Mahesh Bhatt had directed the film ‘Gumrah’ :
Let us tell you that Gumrah was a Dharma Production film, which was released in the year 1993. The film was directed by Alia Bhatt‘s father Mahesh Bhatt.
The film, which received good response from critics, collected Rs 5.8 crore at the box office at that time. Now what wonder Jigra will do at the box office will be known only after the release of the film on October 11.
