Indian Film Festival : 12th Fail is Best Film, Kartik Aaryan declared Best Actor
The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2024 celebrated its 15th edition by honoring the best in Indian film and OTT content. The prestigious Best Film award was claimed by 12th Fail, a film that has resonated strongly with audiences and critics alike.
Kartik Aaryan won Best Actor for his powerful performance in Chandu Champion, while Parvathy Thiruvothu was awarded Best Actress for her role in Ullozhukku (Undercurrent).
In the series category, Arjun Mathur won Best Performance (Male) for Made in Heaven S2, and Kohhra took home the Best Series award. The festival also recognized Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki with the Equality in Cinema award for its heartwarming narrative that bridges cultural divides.
Additionally, A.R. Rahman was honored with the Excellence in Cinema award, marking his continued influence on Indian cinema.
This year’s IFFM highlighted the diverse and evolving landscape of Indian cinema, celebrating both mainstream hits and critically acclaimed projects.
