Indian 2 : The film’s opening day saw Rs 7.9 crore, but the subsequent days showed a sharp decline.
Kamal Haasan‘s much-anticipated vigilante action drama “Indian 2,” directed by Shankar, experienced a dramatic drop at the box office on its first Monday. The film, which opened to mixed reviews, saw its earnings plummet by nearly 80%, collecting only Rs 3.15 crore on its fourth day. This brings the total four-day collection to approximately Rs 14.23 crore.

Despite a star-studded cast and a hefty production budget of Rs 250 crore, “Indian 2” struggled to maintain its initial momentum. The film’s opening day saw Rs 7.9 crore, but the subsequent days showed a sharp decline with Rs 3.2 crore on day two and Rs 2.8 crore on day three.

The significant drop in collections can be attributed to poor word-of-mouth and lackluster reviews, which affected occupancy rates and advance bookings. The film’s underperformance is a setback for both Kamal Haasan and director Shankar, who had high hopes for this sequel.

“Indian 2” features an ensemble cast including S.J. Suryah, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, and Siddharth, among others. Despite the film’s grandeur and scale, it seems the storyline and execution failed to resonate with the audience, leading to its underwhelming box office performance.
