Donald Trump Biopic : Why the actor did not appear on ‘Actors on Actors’
Hollywood actor Sebastian Stan has starred in two critically acclaimed films this year, ‘A Different Man’ and ‘The Apprentice’, in the second of which Sebastian played President-elect Donald Trump. Now he has made many revelations about this. Sebastian Stan says that his fellow actors do not want anything to do with his controversial Donald Trump film and at least do not want to talk about it publicly.
Why the actor did not appear on ‘Actors on Actors’
The actor has revealed that he was invited to take part in Variety magazine’s ‘Actors on Actors’ series, in which two actors are paired together to interview each other, but Sebastian says the appearance did not happen because no other actor wanted to discuss his role as President-elect Trump in the biopic ‘The Apprentice’.
Actor’s video goes viral
According to a video shared on social media, during the screening of the film, Sebastian said, ‘I got an offer to work at Variety’s Actors on Actors this Friday and I couldn’t find any other actor to do it because they were too scared to talk about this film, so I couldn’t do it.
Actors’ reaction to the film
Sebastian spoke candidly about the industry’s response to the film with the film’s director Ali Abbasi at a screening of the film in Los Angeles on Tuesday. The actor said it was in contrast to the praise the film has received from actors, directors and others in Hollywood in private conversations with him, but Sebastian said he did not intend to point fingers at any particular actor and added that the request may not have reached everyone individually.

He said, ‘We could not get past the publicists or the people representing him.’ Variety co-editor-in-chief Ramin Setoode confirmed Sebastian’s statement in a statement. He said, ‘What Sebastian said is correct. We had invited him to participate in Actors on Actors, which is the biggest franchise of the awards season, but other actors did not want to work with him because they did not want to talk about Donald Trump.’
