He was a young, charismatic 17 year old who was popular among his classmates and admired by his teachers. Unfortunately, he also became a victim of a fatal shooting. This story made headlines in 1978 and created an uproar between the rival communities of Northside and Diamond Hill-Jarvis. The violence escalated in the two communities and throughout the city , especially in the Northside community where the shooter was from. It wasn?t until the killer was convicted and sentenced to prison that the violence stopped and the family and communities were finally put to ease.
