The First POW Camp
Tony and the Time Team join Ben Robinson of the English Heritage to examine the remains of the world’s first ever purpose-built prisoner of war camp, at Norman Cross in Cambridgeshire. It was built in 1797 to house 7,000 Napoleonic troops. The Time Team have three days to discover and map the shape of the camp and uncover what life was like for prisoners of war during the time.
