Program 1: Ocean beaches near human populations often seem to be our own playgrounds, with few animals or plants to bother us. But at more remote tidal shores or upon closer observation, we can see the extensive biological communities that have existed for eons on this land and sea frontier. Program 2: Coral are usually found in warm ocean waters containing small amounts of food. These underwater architectural feats harbor some of the richest biodiversity on our planet, as well as other symbioses such as the mutualism between clown fish (the Nemo fish) and their poisonous anemone hosts. The beauty, benefits and mystery of these natural wonders of the world inspires us to protect them as endangered ecosystems.
