4 5 Segment 1 Dr. Davis turns our attention to the object of mission and God’s intent for the city and the poor. The ancient city was symbolic as a sign of rebellion against the Lord. God’s interaction with various cities in Scripture displays their spiritual significance. God has adopted the city for his own purposes, redeeming its meaning for mission, and for the future glory of the Kingdom.
