16 5 Segment 1 Dr. Davis discusses two basic truths for our understanding of serving in the world: God as creator and Jesus as Lord of all. The Church serves both as the locus (place) of God’s working as well as his agent (ambassador) through whom he works. We survey four classic models for understanding church/world relations and then look at four biblical images that can help us relate to our communities.
