The battle of Dry Creek, West Virginia is held at Greenbrier State Park each year in August. This is a surprisingly picturesque location, and about twenty miles from the actual location of the cavalry battle. This area of West Virginia prides itself on its Confederate origins, and each year the 22nd Virginia hosts this event. This was the 19th year it has been held here, and those who attend just keep coming back! This year was the 144th Anniversary of the battle. The event features a LIVE FIRING of ACTUAL CANNON BALLS and a great night firing of the cannons. This was also one of the best battle sequences we have ever filmed! The 2nd Virginia Cavalry Company C gave us a series of great charges, nice battle scenes, and a rousing game of Redneck Polo (This you gotta see!) these guys are good!
