A small number of burlesque films were made by Quality Pictures between 1946 and 1948. They featured some of the top performers such as Betty Rowland and Evelyn West. Since the films were sold through the mail and because of the laws of the day prohibited nudity, the performers were required to “simulate” nudity in order to avoid being prosecuted. The 12 Burlesque dancers in this short program performed in Los Angeles in 1947.
