Rico: 60 Years of Rico de Souza and Surfing In Brazil

In the 70’s and 80’s Rico became a surfing and longboard champion and creating prominence for the sport at a time when it was virtually non-existent in Brazil. Rico’s story is inseparable from the history of surfing in Brazil. Traveling between Hawaii, the Maldives, Rio de Janeiro and Santos, the film blends archive footage and interviews to explore the history of professional surfing in Brazil.
