In “The Robinson Twins present Natural Recreation: Point Reyes National Seashore,” Richard and Robert Robinson take you on a 60-minute personal tour describing the fun and interesting things you can do in Point Reyes National Seashore, in California about 40 miles north of San Francisco. The Twins show Point Reyes through the use of 3D computer modeling and animation along with aerial and on-the-ground footage and photos. Point Reyes National Seashore is a birding hot spot and wilderness area with picnicking, backpacking, day hiking, biking, birding, horseback riding, swimming, beach combing, sand castle building, botanizing, and paddling. Commonly found birds include gulls, pelicans, scoters, cormorants, hawks, owls, kites, white-crowned sparrows, and many more. Visitors can enjoy the wildflowers, wildlife (such as elk, deer, fox, skunks, sea lions, harbor seals, and gray whales), the Morgan horse ranch, historical structures, and a reconstructed Native American (Miwok and Pomo) village. Also included in the video is the Point Reyes Bird Observatory where visitors can watch and even assist with bird banding. Just south of Point Reyes is Audubon Canyon Ranch where visitors can watch egrets and herons nesting and raising their young.
