Passion for Understanding bring us into the LIGO Hanford Observatory for the installation of the last segment of the Advanced LIGO upgrade in 2013. There, we learn how gravitational waves propagate across the universe, and what motivates a lifetime of dedication to a single, seemingly impossible effort to detect the incredibly weak signal.
