By now the 36 thousand hectare reserve became a safe heaven for endangered species such as the white and black rhino. In Lapalala, native people and professional conservationists work in close collaboration to save the wildlife. Whether their efforts are coming into fruition or not, is still a question. But one thing is sure. This nature reserve – in a lot of ways – sets an example to follow.
