Gettysburg Battlewalks – Joseph Davis’ Brigade

The Pennsylvania Cable Network and the Gettysburg National Military Park have partnered since 1996 to bring television viewers the story of this epic battle.General Joseph R. Davis came from a powerful family. He was the nephew of Confederate President Jefferson Davis, and led one of two brigades against Union cavalry. His goal was to sweep the horsemen out of the way, and seize the crossroads. Gettysburg National Military Park Supervisory Historian Scott Hartwig reconstructs the events that led to disaster for Davis and his men.
