American River Parkway – Natural Recreation

American River RecreationThe American River, which runs through Sacramento, California has a park system called the American River Parkway, from Nimbus Dam downstream to where the river flows into the Sacramento River. It has a bike trail that is about 31 miles long. There are also paddling and rafting trips down the river. The Robinson Twins follow the river on foot, by bicycle, inflatable kayak, and even by airplane to lead the viewer through the great recreational opportunities the parkway offers to a major city, even within its boundaries.
