This video is designed for anyone who wants to modify an AG hood to use regular, less expensive, longer lasting CFL/LED bulbs to reduce gardening cost. The CFL/LED bulbs meet or exceed the level of light produced by the original AG bulbs. The project will take about 15 minutes. No glue is used. The sockets are solidly mounted using small screws. Why not give it a try to see how easy this is!The video covers all models. For example: The AG 3 (small one bulb unit) can be modified to use one regular CFL/LED bulb. The Space Saver 6 (small two bulbs unit) can be modified to use two regular CFL/LED bulbs. The Classic 7 (large two bulb unit) can be modified to use two or three regular CFL/LED bulbs. The AG Pro or Extra (large three bulb unit) can be modified to use four bulbs which will provide more light than any AG model.Fruiting plants grow better with 2700k bulbs than 6500k bulbs. The modifications provide more flexibility to change bulbs any time you want.Regular CFL bulbs last twice as long at about one third of the cost. The socket fits all regular (E26 / E27) screw base bulbs. All the materials can be found in your local area hardware store or any major online store.
