A Journey to the Outer Islands

Inspired by Andy Rooney’s famed essays of the 1960’s, this film with Harry Reasoner explores what there is to learn from the islands in New York harbor – including Ellis, Governors and City islands. Cinematographer Richard Shore filmed from boats, bridges, dry land and even a fire engine in this time capsule.
